professional profile photo cropped:reducedOron earned his MS in Health and Medical Sciences from University of California at Berkeley and his MD from University of California at San Francisco. He then completed his training in emergency medicine at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California, where he later completed a fellowship in Point-of-Care Ultrasound.

Oron moved to Vancouver in 2014 where he now leads the PoCUS Program in Emergency Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital. He acts as the local site director for the UBC Department of Emergency Medicine PoCUS Fellowship. He has developed and runs an innovative immersion program to provide rigorous PoCUS experience open to residents and staff from any background.

Oron has lectured and instructed physicians nationally and internationally on cutting edge PoCUS applications.

His areas of interest are regional anesthesia and point-of-care echocardiography.
