Dr. Kira Rich has been a staff Emergency physician at Providence Healthcare since 2010 and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Emergency Medicine. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Dalhousie University and her residency training at UBC.

Prior to studying medicine, she completed a Masters of Science at the UBC School of Population and Public Health. The health status of marginalized populations and infectious disease are research interests of Dr. Rich, and she is currently looking specifically at HIV routine testing in British Columbia.
